Estonia pianos are high-quality handcrafted instruments that are made in Estonia, a small country in Northern Europe. The company was founded in 1893 and has been producing pianos for over 100 years. The Estonia piano factory is located in the town of Tallinn, which has a rich history in piano making dating back to the 18th century.

The material selection and ‘spec list’ in the Estonia 168 are remarkable, especially considering its price point. Among many features, the list includes: sand-cast iron plates, incredibly thick rims made of laminated birch, European Solid Spruce Soundboards, hand-wound German bass strings, Premium Full German Renner Actions with Renner’s highest quality hammers: Renner Blue, and pinblocks made of red beech.

The Estonia 168, like all Estonia pianos, is handcrafted to perfection with the primary goals being tone – clarity, colour, and projection. The 168 covers a vast tonal spectrum for an instrument of its size, and what’s most shocking is the evenness of tone through the range of the piano, particularly in the ‘bass break’ (where the strings switch from the bass bridge to the treble bridge). The tone of Estonia pianos can be described as full, warm, and vocal-like, offering the player a wide dynamic range.

Estonia’s Model 168 cabinetry is the highest quality veneer and goes head to head with Tier 1’ piano cabinets. The Cabinets are finished to perfection with multiple layers of clear to achieve the deep dark Polished Ebony Finish.
The Estonia 168 is finished in Polished Ebony, with the "hidden beauty", meaning the inner rim is finished in African Rosewood or Bubinga. When you open the lid on the 168, the exotic finish on the rim is revealed for a rich luxurious veneer.
