Steinway Model B # 493188 was manufactured at the Steinway factory in Long Island, New York. It was used as a Concert & Artist’s piano for two years.
Steinway C&A pianos are rare and much more desirable due to the limited number of pianos that are selected for the artists.
Once the pianos are selected, they receive extra care and attention to detail during the concert use.
During this brief period, several Steinway artists, including Billy Joel and others, used it. Once it was sold, the new owners cared for the instrument meticulously and had a Steinway concert technician perform all of its services.
The owners have since decided to downsize to a smaller Steinway model M, and we are consigning the piano for the family.
The Piano is in excellent original condition but will receive some service-related maintenance to ensure the highest level of sound and touch.
The Soundboard and bridges are all in excellent condition, free from any imperfections.

All of the cabinet parts will receive a thorough cleaning along with a light touch-up as well.
Finally, all of the Brass work will receive a polish, buff, and re-spray to ensure the longevity of the parts.
