This Steinway Model B was born in Long Island, New York, in 1952. Later that year, it was purchased from Avery Piano Co. and returned to us after many years of use for a complete restoration.
The family has since decided to consign the piano, and we represent the instrument for its original owners. We recently finished a thorough and extensive restoration of the Steinway Model B, which is ready for another family to enjoy for many years.

The highest-quality parts and standards were used to achieve the very best look, sound, and feel. Our expert piano technicians and rebuilding facilities at Avery Piano Co. have spent the last 12 months completing the restoration.

The Steinway Model B has long been considered the goat (greatest of all time) when it comes to 7' pianos. It is a standard against which most pianos are measured, and it's achieved a significant level of notoriety. The Model B is well-known for its constantly refined tone, touch sensitivity, broader dynamic range, Longer sustain, and vibrant color.

The action has been completely restored with all new parts from Steinway. Our technicians did extensive regulation to provide an optimal response from the keystrokes. The Steinway Hammers have had a slight voicing to bring an optimal sound from the all-new mapes strings.

The Soundboard was in excellent condition before the restoration, with only a few small hair cracks to be repaired. The all-original Spruce soundboard received multiple layers of Varnish to achieve a mirror-like finish.

The Hexagrip pin block was installed and fitted to a tee.
The original brass hardware was refinished, buffed, polished, and sprayed with lacquer for longevity and looks.
