This fine American piano has a strong, rich timbre and plenty of volume. The original soundboard is excellent and the tuning pins are tight in the original pin block. The strings are alive and clear. The action is newly regulated and voiced. We replaced the bass bi-chords with Mapes strings, and installed Abel natural hammers and Renner shanks. It plays smoothly and responds well over a big dynamic range. The polished brass hardware looks great. We touched up the case and it looks fine at a distance. But up close one can see many imperfections. We chose to keep the price down by not refinishing.
