My dad bought this piano in 1985 in a private sale from another couple that was downsizing. He bought it for me (his kid). It has always been professionally moved with them, from NJ to NC, and of course professionally tuned. In 1989 we had a house fire, and the piano sustained some water damage, but a piano builder and professor at a Virginia college (Terry Greene, RPT) spent close to a year restoring all but the soundboard, which miraculously sustained no damage. When it was restored, the serial number was painted over as seen in the pictures, but it's estimated the piano is from 1950-60. It has been in my parent's houses all of these years besides the rebuilding, never stored. It has not been played in several years, but we're having it tuned again ASAP.
