Located in Summit, NJ, this beauty dates from approx 1865. It has the Ampico Player mechanism, which often surprises observers, since Baby Grand player pianos are not commonly found. A drawer located just below the keys, pulls out to reveal beautiful brass(?) bronze (?) controls and the piano roll holder for the Player Piano feature.
We have all the Ampico literature, schematics and booklets and can include a few piano rolls.
Player mechanism turns on, but there doesn’t seem to be sufficient air generated through the bellows for the roll to play. Perhaps there’s an old tube that needs replacing due to age?
Priced to sell quickly for someone who appreciates such a piece and would love to restore it/have it restored to its original grandeur. It’s been in our family for over 50 years.
