Calm, quiet tone. Not big. Not brilliant.
Just a nice sound and quiet resonance. You can hear everything.
And nice keyboard touch. You can hear/feel the subtle difference when you
change how you play.
Good for working on improving expressiveness on any piece of music,
and for deliberate practice of any section, or any phrase of any piece.
My piano teacher recommended this Knabe studio model over other pianos
of the same size from other manufacturers in the same show room because
she knew it would be better for practicing to improve my playing, and
that it would endure well over time. And it has. I get same satisfaction
from playing it, and from practicing to improve my playing, today
as I did when it was new.
Tuned 2x/year since bought in 1979.
Only moved for home relocations.
Otherwise it stays in same place in my home where I played it every day.
Unfortunately I'm moving to an apartment and need to get a digital.
Otherwise, this beautiful, trusted friend would go with me.
