For Sale: Estonia Baby Grand Piano that is 5 ft-6in long. Piano is in excellent (almost showroom) condition (see pictures). It was built somewhere within two years of 2010. In Europe, Estonia pianos constructed since at least 2005 are rated as good or better than European Steinway pianos. The serial number of the piano for sale is L168-1815. (L168 means that piano is 168 cm or 5 feet 6 9/64 inches long.) This piano is European from the ground up:
Estonia experts source materials from around the world. Specifically, its iron plating is from Finland. Its case is North European birch. Its soundboard is spruce from the Italian or Swiss Alps. (Estonia uses birch to build out the multi-layer signature rim that sets their pianos apart from others. The resonant spruce goes into the majority of wood components expanding the sound quality produced within the instrument. Estonia combines each of these European materials to create a world-class musical experience for you.)
My piano color (see photos) is similar to rosewood (that is, it is dark red or maroon in color). It has the standard 88 keys. The original bench (same color) is included in the sale. This Estonia piano also contains a player piano add-on. However, that player has not been used by any of us during the past decade. (We bought it as musical instrument, not just a fancy music box.) A440 tuning has been maintained. It has the standard 88 keys. The piano also has three pedals, which includes a working sostenuto pedal, as do all quality pianos. It also has a dehumidifier, because Houston, Texas can be very humid. There are no cracks in the sound board, and the piano’s hammer and strings are still in very good shape. There are no scratches on the piano’s box. Hence, it looks like it came off the showroom floor.
This piano was played at home by a student at High School of visual and performing Arts, in Houston, Texas, USA. She was a classical pianist who has moved on to college and does not have a place for this piano where she now lives. Piano quality and sound can be seen on the internet by typing in “Savannah Piano playing” posted by Eric Getz on You Tube. Specifically, access--Savannah Getz playing Mozart Turkish March Rondo Alla Turca, Piano Sonata 11, 3rd Movement.) The person playing the piano is my granddaughter, Savannah Getz who has red hair that matches the color of the piano.
This piano would make an excellent gift for someone in your family. My asking price is $9,900. (The piano’s original listed showroom price was way more than $30,000 US.)
Buyer must organize and pay for the disassembly and removal of the piano from my home. Houston buyers would normally pay around $500 for this move. I would not recommend going cheap, because it does not pay to do so. I am not responsible for the piano once it leaves my home. Buyers who do not live in Houston would probably have to spend an additional $2,000 more to move it to their location. Keyboard Carriage (on the internet) can to that. This Estonia piano is located on the ground floor of a single-story home. Consequently, piano movers will not have to deal with any steps when they move it out of my home and load it into the piano mover’s truck, which can be backed up all the way to the front door for easy loading.
The buyer (and/or their representative) can access the piano and play it before buying it. However, an appointment must be made to do that.
