This magnificent Steinway Baby Grand Model S has been in our family living room in Manhattan since we bought it new in 1952. We recently completed major restoration work that has returned it to its original pristine condition.

Piano action restoration:
- Original hammer shanks replaced with new Renner hammer shanks
- Original hammers replaced with new Abel natural hammers
- New hammers filed and fit to the strings
- Keytops repaired and replaced (where needed) and polished, now in excellent condition
- Entire action received a concert regulation and hammer voicing
- All front rail and center rail pins cleaned and polished
- Original Steinway repetitions in good condition; no need to replace.

Exterior restoration work:
- Veneers fixed where needed
- Entire piano primed and painted with high-gloss black laquer
- Hand-rubbed finishing
- Hardware all polished
