I bought this 1990/91 Japan-made Yamaha C7 in 2015 from Darrel's Music Hall in Nashua, NH to serve as the centerpiece in my brand-new recording studio. We searched high and low for the right piano, and after many road trips to private studios, homes, and stores, this C7 stood out among the rest. It has a beautiful tone with a particularly stunning low-end. Unlike so many pianos that become muddy in the lower registers, this piano keeps its clarity and tone. The piano's previous and only other owners were a family whose child was learning to play. It was well taken care of and rarely used before we scooped it up, and after we shut down the studio, it moved to my parents' house just down the road where it has lived since 2022. It has had a humidifier in it since 2015, is regularly tuned/maintained, and since being in my and my parents' care, has lived in a room with radiant heat and mini-split units.
