An extremely fine instrument, made in Braunschweig, Germany. All German Craftsmanship,
from before the Yamaha company had any involvement with Schimmel.

This is in mint condition, one owner in Marin County, very lightly played.

This is often considered a ‘mini’ concert grand. Compared to smaller
instrument it has a much richer bass end (because of the length,) and a
noticeably richer tone throughout the whole piano.

Regarding the look of this piano, none of the others that I’ve seen
online have this styling. It has a nod to tradition but slightly modern
with Schimmel’s unique bevels, music desk and pedal shapes and
ferrule/wheel casting, as well as a very distinctive and cool lid prop
design. Please take a look at these details using the link below.

The 1980’s were a high mark for hand built German piano manufacturing (At that time there were still many smaller, family-owned piano manufacturers in Germany producing fine hand-crafted instruments, of which this Schimmel was one. )

Please come in to play and hear one of the best European Grands from our favorite era.

We've also uploaded a short video of the tuner talking about the high craftsmanship and
purity of tone in a fine piano, and he chose this Schimmel for his demo.

For an interesting comparison, we also currently have a 1993 Yamaha C6 6’11” listed here, also in like-new condition, one owner, S.F. Bay Area.
